At United Way Ottawa, events are one of the main ways we bring community together. They are a great way for you to get involved in the work we do on a regular basis. They help us to bring volunteers, sponsors and community organizations together to talk, learn, network and, of course, celebrate. Through these events, we invite you to GIVE, SPEAK UP and TAKE ACTION in your community.

Our events team puts together inspiring, exciting and high energy events for everyone involved. They also support cross-promotions and help third-party events run smoothly and meet their objectives.

Costs for our events are covered by the generosity of the sponsors in our community.

The Scotiabank Wall of Inspiration event honours all former Community Builder Award recipients by revealing their names on the Scotiabank Wall of Inspiration, located in Jean Pigott Hall at City Hall. This event brings United Way’s Community Builders together and celebrates the enduring work they do in Ottawa.

Community Builder of the Year Awards Gala
This evening honours people, organizations, partnerships, agencies and neighbourhood groups that work tirelessly, passionately and collectively to help make change happen in our community.

Annual General Meeting
